Corrosion Survey Crewman

STRENGTHS should include the following: Understanding of basic electricity, ability to follow directions while also able to work on own, knowledge of basic math skills, knowledge of cardinal directions, flexible with scheduling, understanding of basic safety requirements, ability to drive company vehicle responsibly, etc.

Duties Shall Include:

• Learn to perform various types of surveys on transmission and distribution pipelines to document effectiveness of Cathodic Protection systems;
• Learn to operate pipe locator device, meters, mapping skills, and how to follow GPS coordinates;
• Operate motor vehicles in a safe manner, and maintain an insurable driver’s license;

• Work successfully with a crew ranging from 2-5 employees in size. Teamwork, integrity, self-motivation and the ability to effectively communicate is required;
• Walk to and from testing locations in various types of terrain;
• Track job expenses and submit them in expense tracking software in an accurate and timely matter;
• Maintain vehicles pursuant to company requirements, including gassing, keeping oil changed, being attentive to other mechanical needs and communicating with the fleet manager to arrange completing them, cleaning out daily food and drink containers, and keeping vehicles in clean and presentable manner at all times;
• Completing all safety and operator qualifications requirements upon request;
• Any other duties as assigned by management.

Additional Requirements:

Must be able to work 10-12 hr days, 6 days per week in all types of climates and walk 3-7 miles per day in all types of terrain.Additional Requirements:

100% passing of all company and client drug testing is MANDATORY. This position requires pre-hire, client site specific, and ongoing random drug testing. Failure results in immediate removal from projects and potential termination of employment.

Desire and Ability to travel 80% or more. The work is performed when the operator requests and wherever the project is located for duration to be determined by the contract. We strive to work a 17 days away and 4-5 days home schedule, however this is controlled by client requirements.

Experience in corrosion control, protective coatings and cathodic protection monitoring is preferred, but can be taught if eager to learn new skills.

NACE Cathodic Protection Level 1 Certification or higher preferred, but not required.

Ability to handle field survey equipment, troubleshooting, good writing and record keeping skills

Must be able to work autonomously when required.

Ability to work in a safety oriented outdoor environment in all types of terrain, is required.

Corrosion Construction Crew Member-80% Travel Required

Duties Shall Include:

• Manual labor as assigned: This may include jobs such as demolition, loading and unloading materials, lots of shovel work, and general oversight on jobsite with attention to detail;
• Equipment operation (with applicable experience and after training);
• Operate motor vehicles in a safe manner, and maintain an insurable driver’s license;
• Work successfully with a crew ranging from 2-5 employees in size. Teamwork, integrity, self-motivation and the ability to effectively communicate is required;
• Reading blueprints and construction sketches;
• Preparing layout area where construction will take place by properly measuring, marking, or recording openings or distances;
• Cleaning and preparing specific areas of jobsite as assigned. This may include digging trenches; erecting scaffolding; cleaning up rubble, debris, and trash; or removing hazardous materials;
• Any other duties as assigned by management.

Additional Requirements:
